Adult Diapers, Pull-Ups and Underpads in Singapore

Incontinence products are bought every week, so small price differences add up. Below are the three types most homes use, compared across Singapore sellers with the date each price was checked. Pack sizes differ, so compare the price per piece.

Before you buy: does SMF pay for it?

If your parent already receives home nursing, home medical, home palliative or day hospice care: ask that care provider to apply for AIC's Seniors' Mobility and Enabling Fund. It can cover up to 80% of adult diapers and underpads. A nurse or doctor assesses what is needed, and approved items are ordered through AIC's Vertis Health Marketplace. Purchases on Shopee or Lazada cannot be claimed.

If not: SMF does not cover these items, so buy what your parent needs now. The prices below help you compare per pack.

Tape diapers: open at the sides and are changed lying down. For someone who is bedbound or needs help to change.

Pull-up pants: worn like underwear. For someone who walks and can use the toilet with some help.

Underpads: laid on the sheet or a chair to keep the mattress dry. Used with diapers, not instead of them.

Adult Tape Diapers

From S$39.90

Adult diapers with refastenable side tapes, so they can be changed while the person is lying down. The usual choice for someone who spends much of the day in bed or needs help to change. Absorbency is labelled by level or mL; pack sizes differ, so compare the price per piece.

Subsidy: AIC SMF covers up to 80% of home healthcare items such as adult diapers, but only for seniors already receiving home nursing, home medical, home palliative or day hospice care, assessed by a nurse or doctor. Approved items are ordered through Vertis Health Marketplace, not Shopee or Lazada (checked 19 Oct 2026). AIC SMF home healthcare items →

HomeWise may earn a small commission on some Shopee and Lazada links. Prices and rankings are not affected.

Adult Pull-Up Pants

From S$17.80

Disposable pull-up pants worn like underwear. For someone who walks and can use the toilet with some help, because they can be pulled down and up again. Day and night versions differ in absorbency; pack sizes differ, so compare the price per piece.

Disposable Underpads

From S$4.50

Absorbent disposable pads laid on the bed sheet or a chair to catch leaks, so the mattress stays dry and a change of sheets is not needed every time. Used together with diapers, not instead of them. Check the size: small pads suit a chair, a bed needs a larger one.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the government subsidise adult diapers in Singapore?

Sometimes. AIC's Seniors' Mobility and Enabling Fund (SMF) covers up to 80% of home healthcare items, adult diapers included, for Singapore Citizens and PRs aged 60 and above who meet the means test. The senior must already be receiving home nursing, home medical, home palliative care or day hospice care, and a nurse or doctor assesses what is needed. The application goes through that care provider, and approved items are ordered through Vertis Health Marketplace. Diapers bought on Shopee or Lazada cannot be claimed.

Tape diapers or pull-up pants?

Tape diapers open at the sides, so they can be changed while the person lies in bed; they suit someone who is bedbound or needs help to change. Pull-up pants are worn like underwear and suit someone who walks and can use the toilet with a little help. Many families use pull-ups by day and tape diapers or a higher-absorbency night pant at night.

How do I compare prices between packs?

Divide the pack price by the number of pieces. A carton usually costs less per piece than a single bag, but buy one bag first to check the size and fit before committing to a carton.

What size should I buy?

Go by the waist or hip measurement on the pack, not by clothing size. A diaper that is too big leaks at the legs; one that is too small marks the skin. Brands size differently, so check each brand's chart.

My parent has suddenly started leaking urine. What should I do?

See a doctor first. New or sudden incontinence can have a cause that can be treated, and a doctor or nurse can also advise on the right product.
